Refund Policy
How refunds are handled for the research and analysis services of US Market Intelligence, and how they relate to your statutory rights.

Provider
This policy applies to purchases from Tim Schwarz, Sole proprietor (Einzelunternehmer), Lindenstraße 29, 15370 Petershagen, Deutschland.

What you purchase
Each purchase is a one-time, individually performed research and analysis service whose result is delivered to you as a digital report. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
A. Statutory right of withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving any reason. The complete rules, the information on early commencement of performance and the model withdrawal form are set out in our Withdrawal Notice (/legal/withdrawal).
Statutory withdrawal rights always take precedence over this refund policy and are never limited by it.
B. Withdrawal before performance begins
If you withdraw within the statutory period before we have begun performing the service, we reimburse all payments received from you in accordance with the statutory rules, using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction.
C. Withdrawal after performance has begun, before complete performance
If you expressly requested early commencement of performance and validly withdraw before the service has been fully performed, you may be required, where the statutory conditions are met, to pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided up to the time you notified us of the withdrawal. The remaining amount is reimbursed.
We do not automatically retain the full purchase price in this situation.
D. Fully performed service
Where all statutory conditions are met — the contracted service has been fully performed, you expressly requested performance to begin before the withdrawal period expired, and you confirmed that you would lose your right of withdrawal on complete performance — the statutory right of withdrawal has expired.
E. Defective or non-conforming performance
This is separate from withdrawal. Your statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming services and digital products remain unaffected. If a delivered report is technically defective, materially incomplete for the purchased product level, or delivered in the wrong language, contact us and we will remedy it in accordance with the statutory rules.
F. Technical non-delivery
If a purchased report cannot be delivered because of a technical failure attributable to us, the report credit is returned automatically and the analysis can be run again. Where a re-run is not appropriate, we refund the purchase or restore the purchased entitlement, whichever is technically appropriate.
These remedies are provided in addition to, and never instead of, your statutory rights.
G. Goodwill refunds
Beyond A) to F) we may grant a refund voluntarily as a gesture of goodwill, at our discretion and without acknowledging any legal obligation. Voluntary goodwill refunds are separate from, and do not limit, your statutory rights.
How to declare a withdrawal
- Signed in: open your account, go to Orders & purchases, select the order and use the withdrawal function on that order.
- Without signing in: open the page "Withdraw from a contract" linked in the footer and identify the purchase with the order reference from your order confirmation and the email address of the account used for the purchase.
- By email: an unambiguous declaration sent to the contact address is equally sufficient.
Every declaration submitted through the application is recorded immediately with its exact wording, wording version, language and time, and you receive a confirmation of receipt by email.
How to request a refund
